I have a 1995 tacoma i bought december 2010. I have put 10,000 km on it since. it now reads 207200. i am the second owner of the truck and the first owner was Western Forest Products (wfp). they had the truck since it was new and traded it in to alberni chrysler (Port Alberni). The truck was maintained very good and all oil changes on record. i recently have had the the inner and outer tie rods done at Port Auto Tech. The mechanic told me that it was one of the nicer frames he had seen in the tacomas. its not perfect but it is in good shape. however if the frame were ever to rust out it IS covered by the manufacture recall. it is a standard 5 speed SR5 with a 3.4 L V6 engine. new tires in july 2011, have 5000 kms on them. oil was last changed january 5th 2012. this truck has never given me any problems. the body of the truck has a little bit of surface rust but very minimal amount. i am just looking for a newer tacoma, i am not getting rid of this because it is a pos. this truck has nvr let me down. towing boats to and from the lake (it has a towing package). the interior is in nice condition a few stains on the carpet from WFP and one scratch on the glove box. it is a 4x4 with auto hubs. 4H and 4L. the ABS and airbag lights are always on when the truck is turned on. i have never had a problem with the braking system and have been told that the airbags will still work.
